A Chinese Jianyao 'Hare's Fur' Temmoku tea bowl, Song Dynasty (960-1279), of conical form with a waisted mouth rim, covered in a rich iron brown glaze exhibiting partial dark hare's fur glaze pattern, the foot carefully finished. Together with a Japanese wooden box. 6 cm high, 13 cm diameter. Provenance: Tokyo Art market.
