Du Bois and Stodart classical carved mahogany piano forte with a crossbanded hinged rectangular top, an inset panel with a gilt acanthus border bearing the title's Manufactured by Robert and William Nunns for Du Bois and Stodart, a forty four keyboard, the apron fitted with dual short drawers, the original brass oval ring drop handles, applied brass roundels, twin acanthus capped, baluster turned pillars, a similarly carved stretcher, centred by a single lyre shaped foot pedal, hairy paw and claw feet and the original castors, made in New York, attributed to Duncan Phyfe. A similar example is held in the New York State Museum collection
