Adrian Karl Quist - tennis case: leather tennis case presented to Quist with metal plaque on the inside engraved 'Presented to Adrian K. Quist by officials, players & Supporters of the South Australian lawn tennis Association on his departure from Adelaide, March 1937.', initialled for ownership 'A.K.Q.' in gold lettering on the outside of case, 86 x 32 x 17 cm. Adrian Quist born in Menindi, South Australia was a three-time Australian Championships men's singles champion and a formidable doubles player having won 10 consecutive Australian Doubles title between 1936 and 1950, the last eight in partnership with John Bromwich. He was inducted into the international tennis Hall of Fame in 1984.
