1957 head of the river commemorative oar featuring the details of the Geelong College winning crew. They defeated Scotch College (2nd) and Xavier College (3rd) in the final. 3.63 meters long. Offered together with a race-used oar (3.68 meters). (2 items). Geelong College won for the third time in a row, their best result ever. It did not go smoothly at the start of the race with the Geelong crew breaking away from the stakeboat and then the race being restarted after Xavier veered across the Geelong crew's lane.
