1924 Paris Olympics - Robert Broadbent, Australian Cyclist: selection of items belonging to Broadbent comprising Australian team patch embroidered with Australian coat of arms and 'VIII- Olympiad - 1924' beneath, together with a photograph of Broadbent in his cycling shirt with the patch affixed; also Broadbent's passport with attractive 'Paris 1924' labels below his passport photograph, 1924 (May 6th) SS Ormonde (Orient line) passenger ticket (Melbourne to Toulon) for Broadbent, with 'Australian Olympic Team' typed on the ticket, 1924 Imperial Airways 'Paris to London' flight ticket for 'Mr Broadbent', plus an oval lapel badge engraved 'Aonach Tailtean 1924' (the Tailteann games) an Irish free state sporting and cultural event (held in 1924,1928,&1932), which included a cycling event, and was held shortly after the Paris Olympics allowing Olympic athletes the chance to participate. Robert Broadbent (1904-1986) competed in the 50k cycling event in the 1924 Paris Olympics.
