A large Chinese famille verte charger, Kangxi period (1662-1722), the foliate rimmed charger, painted in overglaze famille verte palette to the interior with a swallow perched on a tree within a garden of chrysanthemums, peonies and prunus issuing from rockwork, within a band of clouds on light blue ground to the rim, the exterior decorated with five stylized flower sprays, the underside with four flower symbols and underglaze blue Kangxi mark within double circle.
