18ct gold, ruby and diamond evening bag, circa 1910, of mesh design, the hinged frame is decorated to the front with a line of calibre-cut rubies partially flanked by brilliant-cut diamonds, the thumbpiece collet set with a pair of cabochon rubies, supported from an elongated trace link chain, the rubies and diamonds together weighing approximately 4.20 carats and 0.68 carats respectively, measuring 165 mm x 130 mm x 8 mm, gross weight approximately 369 grams, numbered 54165.
