An Irish George III sterling silver cup and cover, unidentified maker's mark S.W, Dublin, 1773-1787 (date mark lost), Vase shaped with a pair of scrolling handles, the upper register of the cup with a cartouche to each side engraved with arms flanked by fruiting grape vine, the lower register with rustic couples amidst flowering foliage, the cover conforming, 36 cm high, 31 cm wide, 2253g.
