William Norrie (New Zealand) jewellery box, handsomely inlaid with native New Zealand timbers including, totara, puriri, mottled kauri, kohekohe, pukatea, rewarewa, white maire and others. Interior fitted with two lift out trays with original blue cloth lining, late 19th century. 21 cm high, 41 cm wide, 23 cm deep. William Norrie, Shortland Street, Auckland, New Zealand was awarded a medal for excellence at the Sydney International Exhibition 1879.
