An Ian Spalding hand-knotted Kelim wall hanging, with an abstract motif in tones of brown, yellow and black, on a cream ground. Features a small cloth maker's tag affixed to the reverse. Spaldings pieces feature in the collections of Auckland war Memorial Museum, Tamaki Paenga Hira and Te papa Tongarewa. In the late 1970s Spalding and his wife Yvonne Sloan set up a professional weaving studio and were also well known memebers of the the Auckland weaving guild. 160 x 10 cm
