Antique gilt metal quill pen with 18ct gold nib, 22 cm long. Small note states This gold quill pen came from Jack Langs former NSW Premier estate via son Mach. Son says it was presented to Mr Lang on the opening of the first parliament house in 1926 or 1927. An article in Antiques in NSW states a similar pen was used by Lord Hopetown to sign federation.
