A Chinese Song Dynasty style flambe-glazed vase, of archaic bronze form, the pear-shaped body of rectangular section rising from a gently spreading foot, set at the shoulder with a pair of square lug handles, with a lustrous glaze of violet-purple tone with broad creamy lavender streaks. The base incised with character seal mark, height 16.5 cm. Minor glaze flakes.
