Large rare British Regulation Surgeons set, c.1878, by Arnold and Sons, London, the set holds over fifty pieces including three ebony handled large amputation knives, one catlin double edged interosseous knife, two trephines, one craniotomy saw one Dr Butcher's bow saw and many other pieces, most in unused condition, a few pieces are contemporary replacements and some smaller items are missing but largely complete, 45.5 cm x 25 cm x 11.5 cm note: an article was written on this piece in the Journal of Australian antique arms Association.
