George II English sterling silver sugar castor with circular raised foot base and writhen gadrooning inset from the edge and rococo embossing to the body . Original top finely pierced with alternate panels of fleur-de-lys scrolls and lattice engraving. Turned urn shaped finial to the top. Made by Samuel Wood of London, circa 1752, rare and early. 16.5 cm high, 190 grams
