George II English sterling silver lidded baluster shaped tankard with circular raised foot, single band of raised reeding to the lower body, a hinged and domed lid with open-cast thumbpiece. Note the very attractive engraved elephant armorial crest. made by John Langlands of Newcastle, circa 1757, 19 cm high, 704 grams.
