Superb fine early incised spear thrower (woomera), Central Australia, Northern Territory. Carved and engraved hardwood, spinifex resin and natural pigments. The gently curving form of concave section, superbly incised in churinga like designs both surfaces, decorated in red ochre, peg attached with kangaroo sinew, the handle of spinifex resin, with embedded stone cutting tool, length 65.5 x 9.5 cm.
