19th century silver agricultural trophy with engraving attributed to A, width Jones (Christchurch), the front with large finely engraved cartouche of mountainous and pastoral scene with stock, the reverse wheat and fern leaf framed presentation cartouche engraved 'Presented by The New Zealand Loan & Mercantile Agency Company To T.G. Smith, Welds Hill For Best Pen 5 Merino Ewe Hoggets Blenheim 20th Nov. 1889.', height 23.5 cm 309gms.
