A 'Tete D'Aigle' (Eagle's Head) paper weight signed R Lalique, France clear glass with applied ochre patina. Note: in the 1950s this mascot was continued as a paperweight initially using an old mould with the moulded R. Lalique France mark in areas at the lower part of the neck between feathers just above the recessed area that is above the base. This example bears the marks R. Lalique and France (faintly) opposite. It is possible this example dates to this production, width 14 cm
