A Japanese late Meiji period ivory miniature cabinet, the front with two doors above a drawer inlaid with shibayama decoration of birds, florals and insects, the exterior top, sides and base engraved with a basket weave pattern, the two doors open to reveal three small drawers with conforming shibayama decoration, the legs in the form of bamboo. Engraved two-character signature on tablet under the base. 10.5 x 7.5 x 13 cm. A companion cabinet by the same artist sold at Hannam's UK, 2020 for £3,072.
