A Yue celadon Chicken-Head ewer, Eastern Jin Dynasty (317-420) the globular body with a narrow groove on the shoulder interrupted by a pair of faceted loop handles, a curved handle and the short chicken-head spout, covered overall with a glaze of greyish-green tone with brown iron-spot highlights, the unglazed concave base burnt red in the firing, 21.4 cm high.
