A gilt bronze figure of the Infant Buddha, Ming Dynasty, 16TH-17th century well cast standing on top of a lotus base with left arm raised and right arm pendent at his side, each hand held in a fist with the index finger extended, the boy shown naked except for the crisply cast scarf wrapped around his belly and up over his left shoulder, the face with a gentle, smiling expression, 16.5 cm high.
