A rare yellow jade tiger, Song/Ming Dynasty, 13TH-14th century the recumbent tiger with its head turned back towards the split tail, the caramel-coloured stone with some darker inclusions, 5 cm long. Provenance: The collection of Jim Forbes, Boston, USA, whose family had been involved with the china trade. Most of the collection is in the Peabody Museum, Massachusetts, USA.
