A rare Jean Cocteau Visage scarf, 1947, a screen printed silk for Ascher Ltd. Artists signature lower right. During 1946-1947 the celebrated fabric designer Zika Ascher collaborated with numerous artists on his so-called artist Squares collection. These silks were intended to be displayed in frames as well as to be worn by fashionable ladies. Prominent artists of the time contributed, including Alexander Calder, AndreDerain, Barbara Hepworth, Francis Hodgkins, Henry Moore, and Pablo Picasso. Frame 100 cm x 100 cm
