An Egyptian Predynastic Wavy-Handled jar on stand, late Naqada III period, circa 3,200 B.C. The slightly tapering marl clay jar of almost cylindrical form, with pushed-up continuous scalloped band in relief, above a slightly concave neck, wide mouth and everted rim, the flattened base with label reading 'Gerzean, 3,300 Bc', on tri-footed stand. Height 28.5 cm
