Meiji period, late 19th century a large cylinder shape with flared neck porcelain vase, on a circular bronze scrolling stand, depicting an auspicious phoenix on a branch among arching tree and flower motif panel decorations in traditional Imari deep colour palette: cobalt blue, iron-red and brick-orange.
