A Chinese reticulated jade longevity carving of a censer top. Qing Dynasty the pale celadon jade stone with brown inclusion, carved with the Daoist emblem of longevity on each side, one deer in brown and one in celadon, beneath the dense foliage of a tree, the natural stone colour highlighting the openwork carving as well as the legend of the different colours of Shoulao's companion deer. Length 5.5 cm
