A Louis XV style ormolu mounted kingwood bureau plat, French, third quarter 19th century, the leather lined top with foliate clasps to the corners above three drawers quarter veneered in tulipwood, the cabriole legs mounted with scrolled chutes with a martial bust and terminating in rocaille sabots, height 79 cm, width 135 cm, depth 72 cm. Provenance: Dickinson and Howarth, Cheshire, acquired from the above circa 1979
