Zhao Zong Zao (China, b. 1931), lantern festival 1984, woodblock print, ed. 1/20, signed and dated lower right, editioned lower left, 70 x 45 cm (95 x 73 cm framed). Provenance: The Australian National University Institute of Arts, Canberra. Private Collection, NSW, thence by descent, Exhibitions: 'Zhao Zong Zao', the Australian National University Institute of the Arts, 20-28 May 1992, no. 20. Other Notes: Professor Zhao Zong Zao was the head of Printmaking at the Zheijang Institute of fine Art in Hangzhou. In 1992 he visited Canberra where there was an exhibition of his work at the Canberra School of Art within the Australian National University where this work was acquired.
