A 9ct gold openfaced pocketwatch with fobchain Circa 1929. Vetex watch company Swiss made mechanical movement, 21 jewels adjusted in 5 positions, Swiss lever escapement, snail regulator, stamped VWC and 'marksman' perlage finish to bridges. White dial with Roman numerals and railway style minute track, sub seconds at 6 o'clock, blued steel leaf shape hands. 9ct gold case with internal dust cover hallmarked multiple times with '9ct' and '.375'. Birmingham assay office stamp and year stamp for 1929. Case marked 'E.W.C&Co' for case makers Eclipse Watch Company. Total case weight 82.14 grams. Accompanied by a 9ct rose gold curve link fob chain hallmaked on every link. Length 31 cm. Weight 45.6 grams, Makers mark 'E.W&S' for E Whitehouse & Sons Birmingham. All watches are sold as is.
