A Rolex Datejust 36 Wristwatch. Ref 1601. Circa 1973. 36 mm diameter stainless steel case with 18ct white gold bezel, Rolex calibre 1570 mechanical automatic movement, silver sigma dial with baton markers, original folded steel jubilee bracelet. Swiss made. This reference 1601 is pure vintage cool with a slow-set date and 70s dial. The dial has two interesting elements to note. The first is that the watch is fitted with a so-called pie-pan dial and the second is that the dial has sigma markings either side of the 'T SWISS T' which signifies that the hour markers are made from 18ct gold; in this case white gold.
