Fine William IV sterling silver centrepiece, hallmarked to bowl and underside of foot Sheffield, 1837, Hw&Co (Henry Wilkinson & Co), of lavish rococo styling with all over acanthus leaf decoration in high relief and incised textured detailing, the large pierced bowl with organic slightly everted rim and featuring central presentation engraved reserve, partly reading 'To the Rev. George Cummins by the ladies of the Island of Trinidad' and dated October 1838, set above a well proportioned baluster stem between double knops, the whole set above a wide floriform foot, total weight 2.6kg, height 36 cm, bowl diameter 32.5 cm, foot diameter 18 cm
