Pierre Jeanneret, a rare and original library chair from the A.C Joshi library, Chandigarth, India, designed and manufactured circa 1959-1960, in solid teak and with braided canework, with solid banner backrest, slanted and slightly curved, 'X' type double leg assembly, original inscription 'Library W/Oa.C.26' verso, 76 x 46 x 42 cm. Provenance: Private Collection, Auckland. Acquired by the current owner from India.
