Description:
Wooden single stamp compartment, hinged top with a fine picture of the 'Barque de Leman' on lake Lugano, the most northern area of Switzerland. This craft was often sailed 'Goose-winged' carrying stone, capacity being sixty tons. Vessels varied in size up to approx. One hundred feet in length with a 25-foot beam. Fine.
