Mauchline Ware double stamp compartment stamp box, with a transfer view of 'Summit house, Mt. Wachusett, Mass' on the hinged top. The hinge is engraved and of superior design. A fine example of their transfer ware workmanship, especially prepared for the export market by William and Andrew Smith of mauchline. Under the lid endorsed by a previous owner of Massachusetts.
