A Chinese Qingbai bowl with carved duck and lotus design, Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368), of shallow form with unglazed mouth rim, decorated to the interior with a carved and combed stylised scene of a swimming duck in a lotus pond, the exterior with carved lotus petals, and covered in a pale blue glaze. Together with a Japanese wooden box, 5 cm high, 16 cm diameter.
