A Baule helmet mask, ivory coast, carved from a cross-section of a hardwood tree. This helmet mask is a large half sphere shape worn on the head. At the top of the helmet is a monkey head. The mask is heavily coated in black pigment and there is remnants of kaolin pigment. Height 21 cm, width 33 cm, depth 33 cm
