A Baga mask, Guinea, carved from a single piece of wood. The mask has a plank lower section that as two square eyeholes and a square mouth hole. The upper section of the mask depicts a female torso with a head on a elongated neck and large breasts. Below the breasts is metal decorative detailing that as since become rusted.This mask would have been used during agricultural celebrations and is held over the head of the wearer.
