A Vuvi mask, Gabon, carved from a single piece of wood in a flat elongated form. The face features a pointed chin, small oval eyes and raised brow and nose. The face has white pigment, and the carved scarification has remnants of blue and yellow pigment. The interior has visible carving marks from where the chisel was used to hand-carve this piece.Mounted on a wood and metal stand.
