A Dayak Mandau sword, Borneo, Mandau were historically used for headhunting but are also used as a machete to clear rainforest flora. The blade is made from tempered metal with an incised cross pattern along the side. The sword has a deer horn handle that is decorated in brown and black. The sheath is made from wood and is heavily decorated in brown, black, and white pigments. Three patches of goat ide adorn the sheath. There are 52 strings of beads and goat teeth hanging from the sheath. The hilt is missing its Pisau Raut (widdling sword). Length 63.5 cm, width 5.5 cm, depth 2 cm
