A Baule storage post, ivory coast, likely late 20th century. Carved from wood with an interior dung clay lining. The pot is flanked by a carving of a male figure and a Porpianong hornbill. Raised relief of a lizard, turtle, and insect feature on the sides of the pot. The lid of the pot features a seated female figure with coiffed hair. Height 56 cm, width 30 cm, depth 18.5 cm
