A 19th century chiefly taiaha, chiefly taiaha of significant presence and size with its detailed upoko and intricately decorated arero. Arero has been decorated in traditional haehae and dog-tooth notching, spirals reminiscent of a t' moko adorn the mouth and forehead, rich dark patina with one shell inlay. Presented on custom stand.
