Description:
A Chinese yellow ground famille rose 'Shuangxi' and 'Longevity' bottle vase (Da Qing Guangxu Nian Zhi mark). The globular body rising from a short lightly spreading foot to a tall waisted neck, enamelled overall in yellow, with iron red 'Shuangxi' characters arranged evenly between a band of upright petal lappets and a band of ruyi pendants below the gilt decorated rim, two gold rings enclosing a foliage of multi coloured blossom, peaches and longevity characters on the shoulder. 6-character Guangxu mark to the base in underglaze blue. Fitted gilt bronze stand. Labels of J & T. Tai and typed labels. Height 40.5 cm, depth 23 cm
