19th century Australian Colonial silver 'Sunbury Cup,' attributed to Edward Fischer, of neoclassical amphora form, the body beautifully raised with a scene of standing greyhound to one side and a pair of running greyhounds verso, flanked by classical scroll handles and accented in Greek key borders and floral sprays, inscribed 'Nicodemus Winner of the Sunbury cup, being the first run for in the Colony, Owned and Bred by Frederick row, 1873,' mounted on a Tasmanian blackwood plinth, height 27 cm and 35.5 cm (including stand) Provenance: sport in Australia, lot 722, Christie's Australia, Melbourne, 4th October 2000, Russell Crowe: the Art of Divorce, lot 155, Sotheby's Australia, 7th April 2018, then the Edward Clark collection, Melbourne
