Pou Whakairo (free standing carved figure), the ancestral figure with a wheku head with arms to his sides standing on flexed legs. The body adorned with pakati (dog tooth) notching. Raised on a wooden plinth. Heavily painted red ochre finish. Te Arawa, early 20th century, 90 cm height.
