A large and impressive Tibetan thangka depicting Shakyamuni Buddha, the hand painted thangka portraying the Vajrayana Buddha flanked by attendants. One hand holding an offering bowl and the other in the Bhumisparsha (hand touching) mudra. He is framed by dragons, kylin and another exotic animals. The outer field and lower front section painted with various scenes from the Buddhas life.
