A rare George II silver creamer, swollen oval shape on a cast rococo scroll foot, the body cast and chased with two scenes of goats in rustic landscapes within scroll cartouches, the acanthus capped scroll handle joining the rim at a scallop shell moulding, reflected in a similarly moulded spout, an engraved crest under spout (a wolf sejant, before an oak tree fructus, issuant from a mont vert). London 1749, maker's mark script JL (possibly John Lampfert). 166gm (5.85oz).
