The fob, with a soldier and a map of Australia to front, engraved verso 'Portland Rifle Club War Service Medal Presented to S.H. Haynes 1920'. Samuel Henry Haynes of Cashmore, Victoria enlisted in February 1916 and joined the No.4 Tunnelling Company. He departed aboard Hmat A69 Warilda in May 1916 and returned, wounded in August 1917.
