Francisque Joseph Duret (1804-1865), Vendangeur Improvisant sur un Sujet Comique 1839, bronze, signed on the barrel: Duret, titled on the base: Improvvisatore, height 54.5 cm. Other Notes: after the original in the Louvre, Duret won the Prix de Rome at the age of 19 and later received numerous official commissions including the Fontaine Saint-Michel in Paris and was a Professor at l'Ecole des Beaux-Arts.
