Gustav Boehm (Offenbach): figural native African girl in soap, with manufacturer's paper label on base, original box; figure 15 cm high, early 1900s. Rare survivor. Gustav Boehm (1827-1900) established a small soap factory in Offenbach in 1855, rapidly expanding to become a leading German manufacturer of perfume & toiletries. His Sons continued the business until it folded in 1929.
