Britten to M.D Russell.' both officers of the original Australian 6th Light Horse Regiment. Lt. Archibald Charles Jeffries Britten fought at Gallipoli, becoming aide de camp to brig Gen. Sir Granville de Laune, Commander of the Australian mounted division. Both he and Captain Montagu David Russell embarked Hmat A29 Suevic on 14 Dec 1914
